Philosophy.
The Ballast Point philosophy is grounded in authenticity, respect and excellence to help our clients create extraordinary things. We prioritise the goals of the client by starting each conversation with "what do you want to achieve?" rather than only offering "this is what we do." We treat every project as if it were our own house, harnessing the team's design and construction experience to produce quality results. We value being upfront and direct with our clients to ensure they are well informed at all stages of their project.
Principles.
We make our clients feel like they’re part of something special by:
Helping our clients tell their story through architecture and construction
Putting the client and their needs first: remembering that we are part of the client’s journey not the other way around
Creating something that is extraordinary and exceptional
We always have a plan: every client is clear at all times about what is happening, when it is happening and in time how much it will cost and we refine this as we go.
We disclose all critical information to clients in a truthful and unfiltered way – be that good, bad or ugly.
We distil information and key decisions for our clients and our team to focus them on key things – we don’t overload them with information.
We provide a curated experience – we provide a coherent vision, we make purposeful deliberate selections and decisions on behalf of the client and present these for approval – we don’t say: – “which ones do you like?” or “we can propose something or if you like you can choose something else”
We aim to say: “here is what we have selected for you, here is why we have selected it, here is how it fits into your vision tells your story that will make the outcome something special – something extraordinary and here is how that vision aligns with your brief” and finally “are you happy to proceed?”
We fear the ordinary – Strive to make our projects extraordinary by thinking outside the square, challenging convention and bringing ideas, exceeding every client expectation, finding the best contractors and drawing inspiration from different sources to our project.
We check that clients are satisfied with our service and our work – we want to know if someone is unhappy and why – and they should know that they can always reach out to senior staff directly at any time or if they are unsatisfied with anything.
